Port (TCP) Monitors
Layer-4 checks for non-HTTP services.
Check whether a TCP port is open — databases, mail servers, Redis, SSH, and custom protocols.
Port monitoring
Port monitors attempt a TCP connection to host:port. They do not send application data — only verify the port accepts connections.
Common ports: 5432 (PostgreSQL), 3306 (MySQL), 6379 (Redis), 22 (SSH), 25 (SMTP).
Setup
Select Port as the type, enter hostname and port number. A open port with a crashed app may still pass — pair with HTTP or application-level checks where possible.
