How heartbeat monitoring works
SurePing gives each heartbeat monitor a unique URL. Your script calls that URL when the job completes successfully. If no ping arrives within the expected window (plus grace period), SurePing treats the job as failed.
This catches jobs that never run, crash silently, or exit with errors without triggering HTTP checks.
Setup
Create a Heartbeat monitor and note the ping URL from the monitor detail or edit page. Add a curl or wget call at the end of your cron script on success only.
Set the expected interval to match your schedule (e.g. every hour) and add grace time for long-running jobs.
